Presidential Goals

Superintendent/President and Board of Trustees, 2025-26 Goals

  1. Campus Climate and Culture: Foster an inclusive, respectful, and equity-centered campus climate that cultivates belonging for all employees and students through trust, collaboration, accountability, and data-informed actions grounded in SRJC’s shared values and diversity.
     
  2. Student Success: Enrollment, Engagement and Completion: Provide leadership to increase student enrollment by 5-6%, improve fall-to-fall persistence by 3%, and boost completion rates by 3% through data-informed strategies rooted in IDEAA principles and the Student Equity Plan; leverage SRJC’s HSI designation and SRJC Forward framework to enhance outreach, engagement, and equitable outcomes for students.
     
  3. Fiscal Sustainability: Provide leadership to develop and implement a transparent, equity-centered resource allocation model aligned with the District Strategic Plan, with clear criteria and timelines.
     
  4. Institutional Effectiveness: Provide leadership for the implementation and evaluation of the District Strategic Plan 2025–2030 and ensure timely completion of the Accreditation Midterm Report to drive institutional improvement and accountability.
     
  5. Culture of Data-Informed Decision Making: Strengthen a culture of data-informed decision making including supporting the transition to and implementation of Power BI as the District’s primary data visualization tool, and increasing the use of disaggregated data in program review, planning, and resource allocation to guide annual goals, equity strategies, and student success outcomes.
     
  6. Public Affairs and Government Relations: Strengthen SRJC’s regional, state, and national impact, community engagement, and policy influence by implementing a comprehensive public affairs and government relations strategy that deepens partnerships, secures targeted funding, and tracks advocacy efforts and outcomes aligned with strategic initiatives.
     
  7. Facilities and Assessments: Conduct and review the result of the bond feasibility study to determine whether to pursue a bond measure; if proceeding, implement a comprehensive public outreach campaign to engage the community.
     
  8. Innovation: Champion a culture of innovation by supporting collaborative exploration of academic, student service, and operational improvements, including responsible use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, grounded in SRJC’s mission.
     
  9. Leadership Development and Accountability: Operationalize Leadership Standards of Excellence through a professional development framework, performance evaluation alignment, and mentorship initiatives
